Events and Audience Engagement Co-ordinator
Full time or 0.8FTE from October 2018
£23,000 per annum pro rata
Closing date for applications: 5pm, 1 October 2018
This is a new role in the organisation which will be responsible for engaging audiences and artists through co-ordinating an original live events programme at Jerwood Space, creating inspiring digital content, and documenting our activities to amplify the impact of our funding at all levels.
The Events and Audience Engagement Co-ordinator will enhance the work and stories of Jerwood Charitable Foundation and its beneficiaries by flexibly and creatively using a wide range of communication tools to engage artists, peers, audiences and the wider arts sector.
It will be embedded in the gallery exhibition programme of Jerwood Visual Arts at Jerwood Space: regularly welcoming visitors to the gallery at the front desk; responsible for researching, co-ordinating, delivering and documenting the events programme, supporting marketing and communications, and generating content for the website and social media.
It will collaborate with our partner organisations on shared projects and work pro-actively across the team, and play a key role in shaping artist and audience engagement with our wider funding programmes, joining the dots between beneficiaries across artforms through imaginative on and off-line activity.
Candidates for this role will be creative and inclusive organisers and communicators, and have an eye for what makes a great visual story about a piece of work or project.
