Our Aims
We are dedicated to imaginative and responsible funding of the arts across the UK, with a particular focus on supporting emerging talent and excellence. We aim for our funding to allow artists and arts organisations to thrive; to continue to develop their skills, imagination and creativity with integrity."
We work with professional artists across art forms, offering project and programme funding and remaining close to our work and partnerships. Our support prioritises the development of talented and dedicated individuals at transitional stages of their careers, and is delivered primarily through partnerships with outstanding arts organisations throughout the UK. We also seek opportunities to influence sector and artform development and policy making through our work. We spend around £1.5m annually, and are active in identifying and creating new projects.
The majority of our partnerships and initiatives are proactively sought and developed, however we do accept unsolicited proposals. Please note that we very rarely fund projects which are put forward in this way and are seeking specific, targeted, tangible professional development opportunities in the work that we take on.
We do:
- Support individuals and organisations
- Support companies who are not registered charities (providing the project meets our charitable aims)
We do not:
- Support capital costs
- Offer funding for academic study or course fees, or any associated costs
- Fund formal or informal education or community participation work
- Support work outside of the UK or for the benefit of non-UK based artists
- Support non-arts based projects
Please carefully read our full Exclusions before calling for advice or making an application.
