Jerwood Makers Open is a new open-submission initiative designed to support and showcase emerging artists working in the applied arts.  This annual exhibition series will offer significant bursaries to four makers to create new works, which will be exhibited as part of the Jerwood Visual Arts programme.

The artists selected for the 2011 Jerwood Makers Open are:
Farah Bandookwala, Emmanuel Boos, Heike Brachlowand Keith Harrison.

The artists were selected by Emmanuel Cooper, potter, writer, educator and critic; Siobhan Davies, choreographer and artistic director; Jonathan Watkins, curator, writer and Director of Ikon Gallery.
