Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries Closing Reception

Jerwood Space

The Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries Programme celebrated its second edition with a closing reception at Jerwood Space on 11 October. Speaking at the reception were Kully Thiarai, Artistic Director, National Theatre Wales; Aaron Wright, alumni of the preceding DCMS-supported programme, now Artistic Director of Birmingham’s Fierce Festival; Toni Lewis, a bursary recipient of the current programme and now a freelance producer; and a joint address by the programme’s Director Kate Danielson and Shonagh Manson, Director of Jerwood Charitable Foundation. As the current cohort come to the end of their placements, the evening provided an opportunity to not only celebrate the successes of the recent recipients, but to look forward to the future of the programme with funding already committed from Garfield Weston Foundation, Jerwood Charitable Foundation.
