Cove Park

In the third year of a collaboration between Cove Park, Scottish Arts Council and the Jerwood Charitable Foundation we have supported a series of residencies for choreographers based in Scotland. Leading Scottish choreographers were invited to work with artists outside their own disciplines at Cove Park for a series of week-long residencies. Visual artists, architects, composers and television writers worked together with these choreographers to develop new work and new ways of working.

The choreographers selected to undertake residencies at Cove Park this year were Frank McConnell, Rosie Kay, Steinvor Palsson, and Kally Lloyd-Jones. They are each expected to take a collaborator from another artform with them to work on new ideas during the course of their residency.

In 2006 we also supported a series of ‘curated residencies’ for young artists across all artforms. These were curated by Tom Morris (Associate Director at the National Theatre), Deborah Bull (Royal Opera House), Vicky Featherstone (National Theatre of Scotland), and Sacha Craddock (visual arts curator and writer).
