Funding Overview
The Jerwood Charitable Foundation (JCF) is a UK registered charity, founded in 1999 by the Jerwood Foundation. In 2005, the JCF was independently endowed by the Jerwood Foundation to deliver and develop Jerwood's revenue activity in the arts. The Jerwood Foundation remains active and closely related to the JCF, providing significant capital funding for the arts and education, and collecting modern and contemporary art through the Jerwood Art and Jerwood Sculpture Collections. www.jerwood.org
The Jerwood Charitable Foundation is dedicated to imaginative and responsible funding of the arts, with a particular focus on supporting emerging talent and excellence. We aim for our funding to allow artists and arts organisations to thrive; to continue to develop their skills, imagination and creativity with integrity. We work solely with professional artists and across art forms, and no longer allocate funding to conservation, environment, medicine, education, science or engineering. The JCF offers revenue funding and does not offer grants for capital projects or for equipment. Due to our limited resources, we are rarely able to support the production costs of single or touring performances or exhibitions.
The majority of our partnerships and initiatives are proactively sought and developed, however we do accept unsolicited proposals for revenue activity. Please refer to the Ways We Work section of the website for details of what we seek to achieve with our support, and the How To Apply section for details of how to apply.
