Outgoing Director Shonagh Manson pays tribute to her team and predecessor Roanne Dodds

25 October 2017

Last night we said a fond farewell to Director Shonagh Mason after eight years in post as Director of Jerwood Charitable Foundation as she takes up her new role as Assistant Director, Culture and Creative Industries at the GLA Mayor of London's Office.

Comments from artists, peers, colleagues and friends reflected that Shonagh is a true collaborator with the ability to inspire confidence in all that work with her and someone who has impacted individual artists significantly over her time at Jerwood Charitable Foundation. In a speech Shonagh Manson thanked her team and paid tribute to her predecessor Roanne Dodds, first Director at Jerwood Charitable Foundation, as a mentor, friend and guiding influence on her approach to the directorship.

As a formal thank you for all Shonagh has achieved during her time as Director, Jerwood Charitable Foundation and Jerwood Foundation presented her with a broach made by artist and Jerwood Visual Arts alumni Silvia Weidenbach. We wish Shonagh every success in her new role and look forward to welcoming our new Director who will be announced in the coming weeks. General Manager Jon Opie has accepted the new role of Deputy Director.
